History
People Die was formed in 2002 under the name "Peopledie" by guitarist/vocalist Adrian Van Meter and bassist Clifton Scott Miller. Its first incarnation featured Ray Dawson on main vocals and Mike Anderson on drums. We split ways with Ray after a little while and went on as a three-piece to play a few shows and record two demos and play a show. Mike left to join the Navy but returned to record a third demo in 2007. He left shortly thereafter.
After a period of dormancy the duo returned to try to light to re-light the fuse. The result was "Cremation Nation", a completely homemade effort using recycled jewel cases and featuring 12 tracks - 2 complete remakes, 7 studio remasters, and 3 live remasters. Shortly after releasing this CD and looking again for musicians, we found guitarist Bryce Owings and drummer Grey Tavares and played a few shows. They parted ways with us later on.
Then after a short while we found guitarist Jimmy Stevens, who quickly learned the old material as did Chip Ahlgren on the drums, who we found later on. We are now playing more shows and rockin' harder than ever...
